This is not a request for Jeff Bezos or the United Arab Emirates to purchase 100 underwater hotels. The Licensees do not fund the underwater hotels. Each hotel is designed to be fully funded through its own 10,500 Global Alliance Collaborator Travel Memberships.

Each Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel is associated with 10,500 GAC Travel Memberships. At the current membership price of $9,600, that represents approximately $100.8 million in gross GAC Travel Membership funding associated with each movable underwater hotel — approximately $10.08 billion across 100 hotels.
Every one of the 10,500 GAC Travel Members associated with a hotel receives a guaranteed one-night underwater hotel stay during the five-year membership term, subject to program terms. Each hotel also provides 2,000 complimentary one-night stays — creating opportunities for ordinary people to experience something that throughout human history has been available to almost no one: sleeping beneath the ocean.
GAC Travel Members travel to the destination for their guaranteed Planet Ocean underwater experience — but their vacation extends beyond one underwater night. The GAC Member travels. The island resort gains guests. Restaurants and local businesses gain customers. The destination gains tourism. Planet Ocean delivers the underwater experience.
Each movable underwater hotel is assigned 27 veteran couples, organized into three rotating operational teams — 9 couples, 18 people, onboard per rotation. Each team assumes responsibility for its vessel during its approximately three-month operational rotation before the next team relieves them.
Across 100 hotels, this creates 2,700 veteran couples connected directly to the operation and management of the Planet Ocean fleet, built around the experience, discipline, seamanship and leadership of qualified United States Navy and United States Coast Guard veterans and their families. Appropriate maritime licensing, vessel manning and regulatory requirements remain subject to applicable authorities.
The first operational chapter is designed around an extraordinary concentration of Planet Ocean vessels throughout participating Caribbean destinations. For approximately the first year, the fleet provides guest operations, crew training, operational experience, global media exposure, destination tourism, marine research opportunities, coral-reef restoration, and real-world vessel experience before international deployment.
Planet Ocean is movable — that changes everything. These are not conventional underwater buildings permanently attached to one resort. Following the Caribbean operating period, individual vessels can proceed toward their international destinations under the established crew and deployment program. Inner space goes global.
Planet Ocean was never intended simply to place hotel rooms underwater — the ocean must benefit. At the conclusion of each operating year, after annual financial results and net profit are established, 16.5% of net profits is dedicated to coral-reef restoration technology and related marine-restoration initiatives under the Planet Ocean program. As the fleet expands, the potential restoration funding expands with it. Tourism can help rebuild what tourism comes to see.
